The story behind 'Painting Circles In The Corn....

When I was a small boy back in the 1970s early 80s my Dad and his friend would go out for a few Beers every Friday night...They would go to a pub called The Percy Hobbs just outside Winchester on the edge of the Hampshire countryside....As they were both watercolour artists they would discuss their work and be inspired by midnight walks in the fields...It wasn't until a few years later that my Dad confided in me that these Friday nights also included making a Crop Circle or two! My Dad Dave Chorley and his friend Doug Bower were the originators that captured the imagination of the world!
I recently went on a walk both physically and metaphorically through the Corn fields in Hampshire and met with some 'Circlemakers' who not only respect my Dad but continue to produce awe inspiring art in the fields of Hampshire and Wiltshire and beyond...This song is my tribute to two remarkable men, one who I was blessed to have as my Father. http://www.reverbnation.com/jimchorley
